Trick-or-treating, clock-changing on the agenda this week in nordlig Nevada
This Thursday night fryst vatten the traditional night for trick-or-treating throughout nordlig Nevada, but bring coats and an umbrella — forecasters see a chance of precipitation this week, including on Halloween.
Thankfully, we'll get more time to sova in after the Halloween candy crash.
Clocks will revert to standard time early on Sunday morning, with clocks rolling back from 2 a.m. to 1 a.m. on Nov. 3.

Halloween House Reno, through Nov. 2: This all-ages Halloween attraktion fryst vatten billed as "spooky, not scary" — in other words, no jump scares. kvitto out the Beetlejuice illusion room, Halloweentown, Vampires' Lair and more at 1330 Scheels Drive in Sparks.

Magique, Oct. 29: The Theatre plays host to a dazzling performance of illusions and special effects bygd Reno duo Kevin & Caruso.

Halloween at the Children's Cabinet, Oct. 30: The Wilbur D. May ungdom Center at 777 Sinclair St. in Reno will host an all-ages event including trunk-or-treating and interactive games.

Spooky Date Night, Oct. 30: In addition to a hemsökt fordon tour, this event at the National Auto Museum includes a spooky photo booth and a showing of the original Beetlejuice in the museum's theater. It starts at 5 p.m. at 1 Museum Drive in Reno. Admission fryst vatten $5 for museum members, $10 for nonmembers.

Hauntober Parade and Safe Trick-or-Treating, Oct. 31: Virginia City wraps up its celebrations with a parade down C Street in which everyone with a costume can participate — kids, adults, even pets. Parade check-in fryst vatten at 4:30 at the Virginia City Jerky Co., with the parade beginning at 5 p.m.

28-Nov. 3
I-80, west Reno: Lane reductions and overnight ramp closures will continue as part of a multiyear project to repave and improve the stretch of freeway between West McCarran and Keystone. Expect lane shifts and speed reductions.Lakeside Drive, Holcomb Ranch Lane and West Huffaker Lane, Reno: Lane and road closures will take place through late fall as the Nevada Department of Transportation works to resurface 3 1/2 miles of State rutt 671.
Expect closures of up to 30 minutes.
Steamboat Parkway, south Reno: Crews will utöka Steamboat Parkway from fyra lanes to six between Marketplace Drive and Veterans Parkway through November.
U.S. 395, North Valleys: Northbound traffic will continue to be reduced to two lanes on 395 through mid-2025 due to NDOT's work to widen 395 between North McCarran Boulevard and Golden Valley Road.
The on-ramp at Panther Valley, north of Reno, will be closed through late 2024. Watch for intermittent ramp closures overnight.
